Chivalry does exist.

I understand me being ONLY separated is an issue for many of you. My apologies to those of you that see this as unacceptable for dating. To give you some back ground on why such a long separation: I have been separated and in my own apartment for 16 months. I tried to extend the separation period in hopes of sparing my children the stress of a nasty divorce. I felt a cooling off period would be best. I have been told I am wrong. We will see I guess. Will be filing in February but none the less there is ZERO chance of reconciling.

What I am Searching for: I long for a relationship that includes a mutual admiration, respect, and similar personality. I want to be in awe of my partner and she in awe of me. A connection with intellect, philosophies, appearance, and emotion. My primary love language is Affirmation. I will tell you often how wonderful I think you are if I feel it. I also love giving affection, especially a heal raising kiss (you know, the kind that makes you stand on your toes because you want it to never end).

I am a middle-aged father, athlete, rancher, and lover (in that order). I have 3 boys 8, 4, and 2. I adore being a dad. I still play flag football and softball regularly. Playing sports is a passion as well as a fun way to stay in shape. I grew up in South Texas and love it there. I shared the art of ranching with my belated father and cherish those moments. I love sharing that heritage with my boys and my friends. My mother raised me to be a compassionate gentleman ( I am both but probably more gentlemanly than compassionate). I was the light of her life and I knew it (I still am most of the time) but I am NO Mama's boy. Her influence made me a lover rather than a fighter.

The above has greatly influenced who I am to this point. What the above DOES NOT tell you is that I am NOT a red neck (I am just as comfortable in a suit and tie as I am in blue jeans or cargo shorts and sandals), I am a realist, I believe life is made up of chance and I make the best of what I am dealt. I believe this is the only life we have so we better make the best of it while trying not to hurt anyone (purposely). I love psychology and philosophy. I am very comfortable and confident with who I am and looking for someone similar.

I believe honesty is required except for the rare occasion for a protective "white lie".

Looks: I have been told I am good looking even handsome a couple of times. Some have told me they like my butt. I don't know if they were telling a "white lie" or not. I would describe myself as attractive, charming, and witty.

You: Looks do matter. As with most people if there is not a physical attraction then any other attraction will not overcome. I, just like you and everyone else, want the whole package.


I sent my link to a friend of mine. I am pasting what she wrote to me:

"You are very honest Kerry but knowing you and the friendship we have I think you should put something in there about dancing...those conversations mean a lot to me and I have tried to live by some of those...You've really helped me a lot with your words of wisdom. That is very attractive to a woman and with that you are compassionate... Also- you are very easy to talk to. Just my two cents worth..."

Her reference to dancing is about the Garth Brooks song "The Dance". I believe we shouldn't dwell on how others may judge us or our let downs (too much) or else we will miss the dance, which to me is why we are living, TO DANCE.

Life doesn't care if you are a spectator. If you sit back and wait you will be passed by.
